Mark learned to prepare income tax returns in the 8th Grade which was part of his school’s curriculum. While attending university in New York City he volunteered for VITA (Voluntary Income Tax Assistance) and prepared income tax returns for low-income taxpayers pro bono. Mark became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in 1997 and an licensed investment professional in 2007. In 2009, he was appointed by his city’s mayor to become a pension trustee for the city’s employees’ retirement system. He served on the pension board for over 11 years and held leadership responsibilities including Secretary and Vice-Chair. Mark is driven by his passion to minimize his clients’ tax liabilities and maximize their investment earnings.
Mark is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Michigan Association of CPAs (MICPA).
Mark and his wife have been married since 1993 and have 3 sons. Mark is a Michigan native; he loves to spend his free time following the stock market, traveling and playing poker.
